In response to a growing need for sensors that can withstand high pressure applications, TURCK is introducing an extension to their CRS series with a new offering of high pressure inductive sensors. This extension offers customers an enhanced offering for applications regarding cylinders with a operating pressure rating of 3000 psi.
TURCK’s new compact Ethernet multi-protocol I/O modules make standard switching signals quickly and effectively bus-capable. Thanks to their multi-protocol plug-and-play functionality, the FEN20 devices with digital inputs and outputs are immediately ready for use in PROFINET®, Modbus® TCP or EtherNet/IP™ systems. The device detects the protocol used by listening to the communication traffic during the startup phase.
TURCK has added the Q4.7 series of rectangular inductive sensors to its range of miniature sensors. The miniature sensors in the new design (16 x 8 x 4.7 millimeters) have been specially developed for applications in which they have to be fully embedded in metal, such as in the stamping and metal forming industry. These kinds of applications not only require robust sensors with large switching distances, but also very small housing to reduce the amount of surrounding metal to be removed for the recesses.
To answer the need for cables that can withstand the harshest cold-weather environments imaginable, TURCK announces a new platform cable offering, extremelife-60. Designed with a specially engineered proprietary cable jacket material, these cables remain flexible enough to work down to -40°C, and carry UL -60°C cold bend and UL/CSA -40°C cold impact listings, as well as an FT4 flame rating.
Banner’s S18-2 barrel sensor is a cost-effective, reliable sensing method for this type of application. Its small size makes it easy to integrate along the manufacturing line, and its competitive price means it is well-suited for applications requiring multiple sensors. With a powerful and bright visible red emitter beam, the S18 sensors are easy to align during set up.
Banner Engineering introduces the new K50 Serial Indicators and Pick-to-Light products. They provide the user improved ways to program and install a system using industry standard Modbus RTU protocol for communication, and setup of a single device or multi-point applications.
Banner Engineering introduces the TL70 wireless tower light. Combining the company’s industry-recognized tower light family with its field-proven Sure Cross® wireless technology, the TL70 wireless tower light provides superior monitoring and visual status indication for remote applications, general and machine status, mobile call for parts, mobile work stations, threshold sensing and other applications where wired solutions are not cost-effective, practical or possible.
Banner Engineering introduces the WLB92 industrial LED light bar. Featuring bright, high-quality and uniform light, the WLB92 is designed to increase worker productivity and ergonomics. With a rugged metal housing and shatterproof light cover, the WLB92 is optimal for a variety of industrial lighting applications including robotic work cell lighting and quality inspection, while having aesthetics suitable for an office environment
With over 100 mixed-media configuration options, the rugged NT24k platform combines the benefits of noise-immune fiber with the versatility of 10, 100, 1000Base copper connectivity to provide a robust migration path across varying industrial applications.
Red Lion Controls announced that 4G LTE multi-carrier cellular support for major North American carriers is now built into its rugged Sixnet® series RAM® and IndustrialPro® cellular automation products. New multi-carrier capabilities enable customers to simplify deployment and reduce inventory requirements by selecting from a list of preconfigured wireless carriers that include AT&T, BELL Mobility, Rogers, TELUS and Verizon Wireless.
Red Lion's ProducTVity Station™ is a ready-to-deploy plant floor visual management system that displays real-time Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data and and on messages on large televisions to drive efficiency. Ideal for factory floors, processing plants or any place where performance needs to be tracked and monitored, this visual management system lets you create sophisticated production scoreboards using standard, consumer-grade LCD, LED or plasma TVs.
Red Lion's Graphite® Human Machine Interface (HMI) operator panels have been certified to operate in global ATEX zone 2/22 and IECEx zone 2 environments. Following Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Class I, Division 2 Listed status received last year, these approvals certify that Graphite HMIs are safe for use with industrial control equipment in potentially explosive, hazardous locations around the world.
Built on one of three compact and rugged industrial PC platforms, SCADA Edge comes preconfigured with either Proficy HMI/SCADA CIMPLICITY or Proficy HMI/SCADA iFIX. Customize the solution with a choice of dual or quad core processors and 4 or 8 GB storage capacity. SCADA Edge features special SSD drives, multiple Ethernet interfaces, and a number of expansion slots.
This enhanced device features I/O slices that are just 11.5 millimeters wide, the narrowest available in the industry today, enabling it to fit into the most compact layouts while remaining easy to access and use. The device features improved performance and response time with its high-speed system bus reading up to 256 discrete I/O points in 20 microseconds. It also features an increased capacity of up to 1024 I/O points per drop.
The PACSystems* RX3i controller is a powerful, modular Programmable Automation Controller with a focus on high availability. The RX3i features a single control engine and a universal programming environment to provide application portability across multiple hardware platforms. With integrated critical control platforms, logic, motion, HMI, process control and high availability based on GE Reflective Memory technology, RX3i increases system performance and flexibility.
AutomationWorld is hosting a Live Webinar on Thursday, June 2nd, 12pm CDT to discuss benefits of deploying HMI/SCADA in a virtual environment. GE and Tacoma Power will be sharing the right steps to take and best practices that were used in hydroelectric and fish hatchery facilities.
